Notice of Meeting
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of Hervey Bay Netball
Association Incorporated will be held at the RSL Boardroom at 10am on Sunday
24th of March 2024 to transact the following business.
AGENDA
- Opening remarks/Welcome
- Apologies
- Minutes of previous AGM
- Presentation of Annual Report
- Presentation of Accounts
- Appointment of Auditors
- Election of Management Committee
- Close of meeting
Quorum
As stated by the Association’s Constitution, the quorum required for this meeting is “at
least the number of members elected or appointed to the management committee at the
close of the association’s last general meeting plus 1.” In this event, the quorum required
for this meeting is 6.
Voting
Voting rights and limitations are set out in the constitution located on the Hervey Bay
Netball Association website. As stated by the Constitution, voting by proxy or attorney is
not permitted.
Auditors Report
The Auditors Report will be forwarded via email as soon as it becomes available. Hervey
Bay Netball Association Management Committee respectfully ask that all Club
Management Committees, and HBNA Life Members review this Auditors Report prior to
the meeting, and as much as possible make themselves available to attend this meeting.
In the event that the Auditors Report is not received in time for the AGM, the AGM will be held to appoint the new committee members and a General Meeting will be called at a later date to present the Auditors report.
Management Committee Nominations
Persons wishing to nominate for Management Committee are invited to complete the
nomination form which is located on the Hervey Bay Netball Association website, and
attached to this email notification. All nominations must be received by the HBNA
Secretary by 5pm on Sunday the 10th of March 2024. Nominees will be published on the
Hervey Bay Netball Association website prior to the AGM
2022 AGM Minutes
Minutes from the 2022 AGM are temporarily available for viewing on the Hervey
Bay Netball Association website. All members
are encouraged to read these in preparation for the AGM.
